Hello and thank you for viewing my site.
I'm Yukako Yamano, a Japanese Jazz pianist.I am passionate about using music to share messages of love for one another and peace in the world and also to put smiles on the faces of people forcefully displaced from their homes.
I have performed in over 10 countries in a year. Just this February 2020,
I went to Nepal and had a concert with the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, for refugees at the Beldangi refugee camp, at an orphanage and schools in Kathmandu.
In September 2019, I was in Cameroon where together with UNHCR, we organized a concert for Central African Refugees and other performances in the town of Yaounde, igniting the love and passion for music among refugee children.
In May 2019, I went to Jordan and played at schools and orphanages for Palestinian refugees.
This is the third time I am doing a crowdfunding, and I plan to go back to Cameroon this June 2020, and this time with the respected Japanese Bassist Koichi Osamu.
Together with UNHCR, we plan to have a concert with refugees in Yaounde on Saturday, 20 June, which is World Refugee Day.
Besides that, we hope to do other performances in various places to the benefit of these vulnerable populations.
The performance schedule will be announced as soon as it is decided.
The funds raised through the crowdfunding will be used for expenses and fundraising for refugees.
