Jazz pianist Hiroshi Minami lead own unit and participated in the new album of remarkable trumpeter Tomasz Dabrowski who is one of his best friend. Tomasz is from Poland and is resident in Denmark Copenhagen.
At this time, in commemoration of release of this new record AD HOC ”NINJAZZ”, they are going to take place the Japan tour.
This project is the cultural exchange by the Jazz musicians and also deserves 100 anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Poland.
The Jazz Hiroshi Minami works on is free form style using modern harmony which is from free Jazz of Europe. While it seems to be very difficult, the sound soaks into a body without resistance because the touch of his piano is gorgeous one by one and those classical tones creates his modern and beautiful world. He is a rare pianist who has the completed view of his own musical world through his filter like the statement above after having extracted of well-known Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington as American great legends. He also has the popularity as the literary profession and gets the enthusiastic support from a lot of fans. His new book “Paris: Pianist from Tokyo wandering the Paris” has just published in 2018. Just as the catch phrase of Naruyoshi Kikuchi “This is NOT a novel”, the cool life of Jazz musician is written in this book by his unique expression.
As biggest project in this year by a Jazz pianist Hiroshi Minami (who is the man of the hour today), worldwide co-starring with Tomasz Dabrowski (most remarkable musician in Europe) should be mentioned specially.
I expect that all of you enjoy this beautiful musical message which is weaved by Hiroshi Minami and Tomasz Dabrowski.

Not only Tomasz Dabrowski but also musicians of every nationality (Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland, Baltic states) are coming to Copenhagen in Denmark where they are jumbling together and creating brand new and fresh music. This is just remind us of roaring 20s in New York City.
Tomasz who has received many prizes in Poland was used to be a disciple of Kasper Tranberg who is a best friend of mine. How Tomasz and I met is that Kasper introduced him and asked me to organize the recording session and three concerts in Tokyo for him. That was special opportunity to play the great music with him in 2015.
Some years later,Tomasz invited us Japanese trio to Warsaw in Poland to do a second recording and some concerts in this March. We basked in accolades in those concerts. Poland is famous for being pro-japanease, especially Tomasz does like Japan so that we decided to do Japan tour again!
Hiroshi Tsuboi, international drummer, has learned the way of so unique musical approach in Sweden that I offered him to join the 1st recording AD HOC “STRINGS”.
Hiroki Chiba is a talented musician to handle the music of every genre, furthermore, he is very good at electronics sound production. I preconceived the band sound will be the other dimension when his talent is connected to the trumpet of Tomasz.
Although the tradition of the Jazz is originally from USA, it has been accepted as international music widely all over the world including Europe in the present 21st century.
It is my sincere and constant desire that
all of you are going to enjoy the novel European sound from Copenhagen which we cannot hear in Japan.
